In the heart of North Delhi, under a canopy of fairy lights, we create cinematic wedding stories that feel deeply human. Families living in posh areas like Model Town, Azadpur and Ashok Vihar celebrate in big style at venues like Shalimar Bagh Club or Rajkamal Banquets in Shalimar Bagh. We become a part of your day like family. We capture shy smiles in the pheras or wild dance moves in the baraat and turn them into timeless memories. We are a story based approach – every still and piece of film is tuned into the real laughter, tears and precious glances of that day.
Your wedding day in Shalimar Bagh is a sequence of moments: the morning light on marigolds in the haldi, the beats of the dhol in the baraat, and the silent prayers at the mandap. For more than a decade, we have been capturing such moments in Delhi NCR. With 25+ years in front of the camera at North Delhi weddings, we know how to blend in and make even camera-shy couples feel at ease. We respect that every event in Shalimar Bagh feels intimately local—from live Punjabi bands to soft gurdwara hymns. Our portraits use only natural expressions. Our films replace forced narration with candid sound and ambient audio. We have the best 4K equipment and drones to adapt to any light or stage setup instantly (be it the morning sun at a Model Town mandir or chandelier glow in a banquet hall). In short, we see weddings differently: as cinematic, human stories, not posed commercials.
We think of each wedding as a mini-movie. We don’t choreograph scenes, we just let life happen and hit record. We wait for that split second when grandma wipes away a tear, when the groom sees his bride for the first time. We focus on these unscripted emotional reactions. Candid storytelling is patience and invisibility, sometimes holding our breath to catch silence. We skip the cheesy cues and forced poses. Instead we observe – the little hand squeeze during pheras, the bride’s nervous laugh before varmala – and immortalise them. This means some photos are raw and imperfect (a wrinkle in a sari, a stray petal), but they are real. And we add a little artistry when we're editing, with color tones that match the mood (warm and golden for a Punjabi baraat, rich and saturated for a South-Indian temple ritual), but never over-polished. We don't want pretty pictures, we want honest pictures.
Candid photography is about the unplanned, intimate details. We capture the bride’s quiet prayer before the ceremony, the child stealing ladoos, or the groom’s groomsmen breaking into spontaneous dance. There are no prompts, just a constant ready camera. For example, when that excited aunt whirls around in the baraat or the flower petals cascade during the pheras, we’re already clicking. It’s observational – like a photojournalist. We focus on real reactions: the shock on her face when she hears her name called in the vows and the groom’s genuine laughter hearing a family joke. We harness natural light through temple windows or club hall windows and sometimes our flashes to freeze motion during the sangeet dance. Most importantly, we pay attention to family interactions: siblings pulling the bride’s dupatta, grandparents giving blessings, and children photobombing with mischief. These unpredictable slices of life are what couples treasure later – the real memories of the day.
Traditional photography is equally important: posed family portraits, staged couple shots, and key rituals from a formal angle. We respectfully organize grandparents, playfully arrange cousins, and ensure no one is missing in the shot. During ceremonies (like the dignified portrait under the mandap or the ritual of applying vermilion), we use classic techniques to ensure clarity and formality. We capture the timeline of rituals—e.g., her walk down the aisle, his aarati, and the varmala exchange—with crisp, timeless composition. These images become heirloom photos: parents cherished in decades-old wedding albums. We handle lighting challenges—zooming a fast lens in dusky outdoor settings or balancing harsh hall lights. Our style here is deliberate: symmetrical group photos on the mandap steps and portraits framed by temple columns or hotel banquets’ chandeliers. These pictures emphasize tradition: the heritage jewelry, the sacred fire under the phara, and the colorful lehengas and pagris.
Our wedding cinematography goes beyond “just video.” We make mini-movies of your day, using filmic techniques for a luxurious feel. This means carefully planned sound design: we mic up the couple for vows and ambient room microphones for cheers so the audio track weaves into the narrative (dialogue mixed with natural sounds, not just music overlays). We use 4K cinema cameras on stabilizers for smooth pans across a ballroom. Drone cinematography gives sweeping overhead views of the venue, ideal for grand entrances. For example, imagine your baraat on a Delhi street from above or your first dance seen from afar—these shots add breathtaking context. We deliver a range of films: a 60-90 second teaser, a multi-minute trailer, and a full ceremony edit. Teaser films (the ones set to emotional music and quick cuts) capture the excitement, while the feature film includes vows, speeches, and real moments in sequence. Everything is edited in 4K—crisp detail on intricate lehenga work or groom’s sherwani. Our color grade is cinematic: warm golden-hour tints for outdoor scenes and high contrast for night parties. The result is a film that plays like a trailer—cinematic and luxurious, yet deeply personal to your wedding day.
We love working with couples. The Delhi-NCR region is known for its fancy or unique weddings, and that's exactly what we provide. Imagine weddings surrounded by majestic forts in Udaipur, pink sandstone palaces in Jaipur, beautiful beach resorts in Goa, hilly stations in Mussoorie or Rishikesh, or even the famous Neemrana Fort. All the logistics will be taken care of: packing of gear, obtaining of permits, and battery backups. Photographing at such venues requires a lot of pre-planning – choosing the right time to photograph on the lakes in Udaipur or the last light falling on the Aravallis. It also requires a sense of culture; from shooting the morning Garba in Gujarat to the farewell ceremony in Rajasthan, we maintain a balance between our style and their cultural values. Every scene tells its own story – palace courts can become your mandap, while the mountains will enhance your couple photography.
North Indian Hindu wedding rituals are filled with rituals and emotions. We capture every single ritual from the fun haldi (yellow painting with turmeric or random color splashes) to the serious pheras. For the varmala ritual, we shoot the flowers flying in the air as the couple garlands each other. In the phares, their faces are seen through the veil, their eyes meeting, a small smile on their faces, and wet eyes showing their happiness. Other moments captured include the bride hiding her face in a veil and giggling, and the groom's sisters pinching the bride's cheeks. We take family pictures all the time. We always know who to bring in new clothes when there’s a celebration. Traditional rituals such as tying the mangalsutra or putting on sindoor are particularly captured as they have significant cultural meaning and involve small details which Western cameras might miss. We also get the quiet moments like the prayers under the mandap or the couple holding hands for a brief moment to calm down. Our style of photography in this culture is bright and colorful, but intimate and respectful.
Punjabi weddings mean energy. We thrive in the loud baraat—a street parade with cousins on shoulders, horses, golden kalgis, and booming drumbeats. We don’t just shoot from afar; we jostle forward on the road, framing the groom’s baraat head-on as he dances with family. Dhol players, bhangra troupes, uncles doing bhangra – all choreographed chaos for our cameras. At the venue, the vibe stays high: bright dance numbers at the sangeet, traditional Shagna dhol to start the ceremony, and a stage alight with garlands. We focus on candid emotional chaos: her wide grin as she enters and his aunties squealing in approval. Sikh influences are common too (since many Punjabi couples are Sikh), so you might see nizamat kicks or chuniyachadidene—we capture them unposed. Portraits here can be playful: a couple letting off colored powder in a Punjabi ritual or a jawan-style salute. Essentially, we bottle that high-energy zest of Punjabi culture – all the laughter, jumping, and jubilance – into images and clips.
Sikh ceremonies are very spiritual and friendly. If the Anand Karaj is at a gurdwara, we move quietly, using natural light to keep the peaceful atmosphere. A funny, sweet connection is often seen between the bride and groom during the Antim Ardaas or Laavan (four rounds of the Guru Granth Sahib). We focus on their faint smiles, the elder’s blessing hands, and the silk cover of the sacred book. There may be Punjabi Baraat dances and colorful mehndi parties in Sikh weddings, but the mood is respectful on the wedding day. We pay our respects – no flash intrusion in the prayer hall, only long lenses taking in the flow of the ceremony. We look forward to the groom’s chunni cherana (affectionate forehead touch to the bride) and the last blessings. Post-ceremony portraits of the couple in front of temple doors or beneath saffron flags make for a graceful picture. In short, we tell a gentle, respectful story from the quiet gurdwara vows to the later moments of celebration, letting natural light and emotion be our guide.
The Muslim nikah ceremony is quite a serene one. It can take place in either a hotel ballroom or a mosque, where the bride, dressed in a bright costume (and covered in a dupatta), will be seated facing the groom in front of an imam. The main emphasis in the shoot will be made on the couple’s natural reactions, such as the bride’s smiling face while signing the Nikah contract and the groom’s pride when putting a ring on her finger. The priests as well as family members usually recite some Quranic verses, and we will pay attention to their discreet smiles and even tears. We will also try to capture the pre-ceremony moments: the bride getting mehndi done on her hands with the help of green and orange henna, the groom arriving at the ceremony along with his relatives and exchanging polite compliments with them. Special attention should be paid to such traditions as the bride secretly putting something under the groom’s foot (the Punjabi-Muslim tradition) or the exchange of cash following the vows.
A typical Christian wedding in Delhi usually involves two elements: the morning ceremony at the church or chapel and the reception. The ceremony begins with the shot of the bride’s arrival down the aisle, followed by the image of the groom waiting for her at the altar with his vows. Soft lighting techniques will be used here, as well as shooting from the balcony or pews for the sake of obtaining shots from both sides of the aisle. Finally, in the reception area, there will be more cheerful images to show: the cutting of the cake, the first dance of the couple, and the celebration of their guests with champagne. Since most Christian weddings are black tie, there will be many elegant elements here: the groom's tuxedo, the bride's veil, and the bride's dress. Special attention should be paid to the touching moments of the wedding: parents' tears during the vows at the pew and the couple's first kiss as husband and wife.
The South Indian wedding (Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayali, etc.) is characterized by the presence of vibrant colors and early morning rituals. Typically, the shoot starts early in the morning, when we capture the Ganesh Puja under the temple’s golden light, the bride wearing the jasmine garlands in green and gold and the groom in his white dhoti and angavastram. The small details are crucial, for instance, the carved pillars of the temple, the leaves (kappu) tied on the groom’s forehead and the gold necklace from the temple that the bride wears. At the mandap, during Kanya Daan or Mangalya Dharanam (tying of the sacred thread/thali), we shoot the close-ups of hands and faces. The South Indian weddings usually have less number of people present, but they are always full of emotions and are concentrated on blessings. We photograph the cultural elements, such as the mridangam or nadaswaram players, women in colorful pattu sarees throwing rice at the newlywed couple, and kolam patterns on the entrance. All our pictures will be bright and contrast due to the vibrant decorations.
Many couples today mix global influences. For NRI weddings (often families returning from abroad), the scale is lavish, and the style can be a fusion. We might shoot a church ceremony followed by an Indian sangeet the same weekend, or vice versa. Expect international guests in the frame—perhaps a grandmother in a sari next to an aunt in a cocktail dress. We highlight mixed traditions: a couple doing a first look photo shoot in formal wear and then changing into traditional clothes for the evening. Destinations or pre-wedding shoots in places like South Asia or Europe can be part of the package. Technically, we bring multiple languages—photography, video, and guiding tips—to blend with any cultural mix. For these weddings, we emphasize luxury expectations: grand décor that merges cultural motifs (like floral walls with Hindu iconography or mehndi designs with modern geometric patterns). Our filming might include interviews or voice-over narratives (like the story of how they met overseas). Ultimately, we treat each fusion wedding as a bespoke event, capturing how two worlds and families come together, from emotional oaths to a Western-style sparkler exit.
Shalimar Bagh may seem modest, but it’s surrounded by upscale venues and farmhouses for elite weddings. We’ve shot in hotels like the Holiday Inn, C7 (Pitampura), and nearby luxury resorts on the city’s edge, handling their dramatic lighting and decor. We know local banquet halls intimately—for example, Rajkamal Banquets (big capacity, modern amenities) and SR Royal Kingdom (a lavish hall for 1000 guests). We have also covered ceremonies at prominent NCR hotels a short drive away (The Leela, Shangri-La, Taj, etc.), navigating tinted windows and glass walls. In Rohini and neighbouring zones, grand farmhouses like those in Bhalaswa or Sultanpur give a countryside feel—we adapt by arriving at dawn to catch soft light filtering through mango trees. Each venue has its quirks: shimmery glass elevators, towering chandeliers, or reflective tiled floors. We plan lighting setups accordingly (on-camera flash for dark halls, lens flares for grand staircases). Cinematically, we often stage shots like the couple dancing on a fog machine stage or the first kiss under a glitter canopy to showcase the venue’s luxury. Our experience means we’re unfazed by any scale, from an intimate 50-guest family hall to a 500-guest farmhouse gala—we know exactly where to stand to encapsulate the “feel” of each space.
One Shalimar Bagh wedding we’ll never forget was in a December chill. The bride, Aisha, was nervous as the baraat thundered down GT Karnal Road (complete with horses and a Maserati behind). The groom, Vikram, whispered encouragements as cold air fogged in the streetlights. We followed them into the courtyard of a GT Karnal Road farmhouse, where marigolds lit up the night. The moment of the fire was electric: golden petals floated as they circled the fire. We stayed with her later as she removed her bridal ghoonghat after the ceremony, an unposed reveal that became her favourite shot. Moments like Vikram’s proud grandparents wiping their eyes or the flower girl fast asleep on her mother’s shoulder during the reception are the true story. Each wedding we shoot has its unique color: one might have a fog machine and pop songs at sangeet, another might sing “Maa Tujhe Salaam” with Qataris of relatives cheering. We chronicle these real stories in sequence so that reliving your wedding through our album and film feels like flipping pages of your life’s most colorful chapter.
What we remember about weddings are the unscripted human moments, not the clothes or the decor. A grandmother’s loving gaze. A little brother plucking petals from a garland during the ceremony. A father almost dancing a jig with tears in his eyes watching the bride. When we feel something raw, we put our cameras down for a second. But our second shooter is already clicking. We captured the exact moment a bride started laughing when her toddler flower girl threw cake in the groom’s face. We also capture the in-betweens: sipping chai in a corridor, the bride adjusting her necklace by a window, the groom taking a quiet breath on the balcony as the band plays below. These candid shots are therapy for couples years later. Our photos are like a real-time capsule of family dynamics—group hugs, teasing, kids sneaking looks.
Handling a big Delhi wedding is like being a stage manager and a detective in one. We work closely with planners and decorators (think leading planners like Zyah Events ) to know the timeline inside out. On a multi-day wedding (mehndi, sangeet, haldi, pheras, reception), we create shot lists for each day but stay flexible. If the baraat is delayed by traffic, we’re patient and check road conditions. We know to arrive at venues hours early: testing lighting at the Grand Shagun ballroom, walking through Grand Shagun Banquets for angles, or parking next to the Bollywood-themed movie-set-style lawns. With a big team (lead photographer, cinematographer, assistants, plus drone operator), we coordinate secretly via earpieces so every ceremony point is covered – from the very first milni handshake to the last dance. We’ve learned the art of anticipating: if an MC announces a surprise performance, we’re rolling already. By staying organised yet unobtrusive, we ensure nothing is left to chance, and couples can enjoy the day without wondering if “the photos will be okay.”
Weddings at Shalimar Bagh are a fascinating combination of intimacy and excitement. As opposed to the expansive farmhouses of Gurgaon, the cultural heritage of old Delhi finds expression in the form of chaat stalls around the banquets, the midnight Maggi run by relatives, and the general sense of community. The crowd usually comprises a mixture of people from North Delhi, including Punjabis, Sikhs, and Hindus, all mingling together in their backyards or club lawns. The other difference is that in winters, weddings are planned to begin late, since the nights are cooler, while in summers, they have to begin early to beat the heat in Delhi. There are chances of unexpected traffic due to crowds during the cricket matches or because of metro construction, which might change the route of the processions. However, nothing compares to the arrival of the baraat to blaring music or starting up a five-horse baraat procession. Every wedding in Shalimar Bagh has the skyline of distant chimneys combined with the bells of temples.
Our coverage usually starts weeks before the wedding. We discuss your style and schedule, then prepare a customised timeline. On wedding days, we arrive early (sometimes with makeup artists) to catch bride/groom prep shots: tying the groom’s elaborate pagdi or the bridal lehenga spread out on a bed. We shoot each event from start to end—no ceremony is too long or small. Typically, a multi-day Indian wedding includes a mehndi (we capture the colours and candid application), a sangeet (dynamic dance videos and low-light party photos), and a wedding day (core ceremony, family portraits, and candid scenes). After the events, we process the raw images—often thousands—and carefully edit them over several weeks. Our promise: a highlight reel or teaser film in about 2-4 weeks, and full albums/films in 6-8 weeks. We know couples are eager, so we keep communication open, often sharing a few sneak-peek photos or clips as soon as possible.
A beautiful album is the final heirloom of your luxury wedding. We use fine-art, flush-mount books with thin matte pages to arrange your story chronologically. Each album pair is curated by hand – we don’t just dump images onto pages. For films, online download links. All media is delivered in high resolution. (Some couples add photo album pages into their living room frames.
What is candid wedding photography? Candid photography is all about capturing spontaneous moments – such as people crying or laughing – without directing anyone to pose. It's similar to photojournalism because we observe and document what takes place in front of us.
Do you shoot cinematic wedding films? Yes! We provide cinematic storytelling films in 4K resolution, complete with music and real audio (vows, speeches). We use techniques like slow-motion, creative cuts, and drone footage to give your wedding video a “movie trailer” feel.
Can you make Instagram wedding reels? Absolutely. We often create 15-30 second highlight reels from the day’s footage, edited for Instagram. These fast-paced edits showcase the energy of your Sangeet or Baraat, perfect for sharing instantly on social media.
What is the starting price for luxury wedding photography? Our packages are customized, but generally for premium wedding coverage (3-4 days, multiple photographers/videographers, and albums/films) budgets often start in the high lakhs (₹) range. We offer modular services so you can choose exactly what you need.
Do you handle destination weddings? Yes, we specialize in destinations across India – palaces in Udaipur, Jaipur forts, Goa beaches, Mussoorie mountains, even overseas (with partner teams). Travel fees and logistics are added, but our team is experienced with visas, equipment shipping, and local regulations.
Do you provide drone coverage? We offer professional drone cinematography for aerial shots (subject to venue permissions). Drone footage adds epic overhead views of your venue and procession. We always comply with local drone regulations and use certified pilots for safety.
How long until we get our photos and video? Typically, we deliver a short highlight or teaser in 2-4 weeks after your wedding. Final full galleries and films are delivered in 6-8 weeks, packaged beautifully. We also provide an online gallery for easy sharing.
Why is luxury wedding coverage costly? High-end wedding photography involves many resources: multiple expert shooters, top-tier 4K equipment, drones, lighting, and lengthy post-production editing. We dedicate 100+ hours of editing, color grading and story-crafting to each wedding, which is why it’s an investment. But for a once-in-a-lifetime event, the value of high-quality, lasting memories is priceless.
Do you offer albums? Yes, we offer luxury wedding albums. We design custom layouts with archival-quality papers and leather or linen covers. Couples can review layouts before printing. We also do parent albums, thank-you cards, and large framed prints on request.
How do you handle multi-day weddings? For multi-day weddings, we plan as a team. We usually send multiple photographers so every day (haldi, mehndi, sangeet, pheras, reception) is covered concurrently. We stay on-site overnight or come early for day events, and ensure key moments each day are captured. Coordination is key, so we sync with your planner for any schedule changes.
Whether you are looking at a luxury wedding with just friends and family, a large Punjabi wedding at a farmhouse near Pitampura, or a multi-day luxury wedding at one of the best banquets in North Delhi, we will approach all of them with a keen eye and serious intent. Not posing every five minutes. No acting. Simply narrate your tale in a cinematic style. We know the Delhi wedding: from chaotic entries on the Outer Ring Road to silent moments shared by parents during the pheras. Quick. Loud. Touching, surprising. If you are looking for the best wedding photographer in Shalimar Bagh or a professional wedding photographer who can create cinematic wedding films, then please contact us.
