Vibrant and bustling weddings happen in Faridabad and its nearby areas (Surajkund, Ashoka Enclave, Sector 14/15/21, Greenfields Colony, Neharpar, etc.). We’ve shot dozens of them, noting every quirk, from winter fog rolling in on a January morning (Faridabad’s weather is mostly hot summers and a short monsoon, with cool, foggy winters) to last-minute makeup panics and Delhi’s Mathura Road traffic jams. We talk like a local who has seen bridal juttis scuffing banquet floors and heard excited aunties forcing a shy teen onto the dance floor. We are a premium, friendly eye, discreetly blending in like one of your guests and capturing your family’s real emotions (torn churra bangles ringing, marigold scents, children chasing each other) for couples planning weddings in and around Faridabad.
Wedding Photography: We are there from the early morning jitters to the sparkler send off. We’re catching the final touches and the giggles in the getting ready room (sometimes against the light of the balcony) before the bride even has her makeup finished. Mostly we are in the background during the baraat and ceremonies. We’ll be in the corners a lot, watching and whispering what the next shot’s going to be. We are in the thick of it at the reception, one photographer getting shots of the groom’s friends scrambling to get in, the other capturing a candid of grandma boogying in her seat. We never miss the groomsmen’s “first look” high-fives or the little jokes between aunties in the spotlight. You can sit in the back sipping chai and we’ll still catch all the drama, joy and tears.
Cinematic Films: Our films feel like short movies of your day. We aren’t just clicking and splicing – we’re composing moments. We might silently record the best man’s toast in one take (just natural audio, no overdubs) or sneak a drone up for the baraat circling the courtyard. For instance, at one Surajkund wedding, we captured the faint Bollywood song playing in the distance as the groom tied the knot; that ambient sound in the final film brings back the exact atmosphere. If the street vendors were playing dhol outside, we preserve that too – it’s like soundtracking your wedding with real life.
Pre-Wedding Shoots: We suggest fun local places or hidden gems (a quiet rooftop in Sector 46, the rusty colors of old Lodhi Colony) but always go with the flow. For couples looking for more curated setups, we also shoot at paid pre-wedding locations like The Perfect Location Faridabad, Picture Destination Delhi NCR, The Picture Villa Gurgaon, and heritage venues like Tikli Bottom or Neemrana Fort for a more styled atmosphere. Once we shot a couple at sunrise on a deserted golf course in Gurugram—they hardly noticed us framing the perfect swing of her dupatta. We gently prompt poses (like “walk towards me and chat”), but also watch for unscripted magic: maybe mid-joke they both tilt their heads laughing, and we freeze that. For example, on one Faridabad shoot near the rose gardens at sunset, a pigeon flew overhead at just the right moment as they kissed—something we couldn’t have staged but were ready for.
Bridal Portraits: Consider this the bride’s own mini photoshoot moment. Often when she takes a short break – we’ll play some soft music and the bride just relaxes on a chair. To get that sweet smile, I might say, “Imagine someone called you and told you a funny secret”. We use flattering natural light (window glow or golden-hour outdoors) and very light direction (“tilt chin slightly”). These portraits are personal. We discuss your feelings and shoot until you’re happy. Brides often say after, ‘I felt like a model’, but really, I’m just framing how beautiful and calm she looks in her saree or lehenga, so it feels intimate, not staged.”
Destination Weddings: If your families fly us out (say to Udaipur or Kerala), we’ll plan around your vision. We met a couple in Udaipur who wanted a palace sunset – we literally sprinted across a courtyard to catch the last light on their faces! In a hill station, we once helped carry a bride’s heavy Kanjeevaram saree down a hill for a forest shot (and held up a sheet to bounce sunlight). We always pack extra gear for travel: lights, reflectors (I’ve balanced one on a rock for mountain portraits), and even a small drone if permitted. We treat every destination shoot like an expedition – you just focus on each other, and we’ll capture the epic backdrop, the breeze through your hair, and even the way the local birds seem to add flair to one shot or the gentle touch of your partner’s hand on the ground when they kneel.
Faridabad weddings mix Punjabi vibrancy with North-Indian Hindu rituals, often on a big scale. Usually there’s a haldi at home or in a community hall (we’ve been to Haldi ceremonies in Sector 15 flats and Surajkund farmhouses alike), followed by a mehndi evening at a local banquet or lawn. One Punjabi baraat we shot came in on a decorated vintage car from Ashoka Enclave—the dholki beats grew louder along the way, and cousins leapt onto the vintage car. Common spots include Greenfields Colony and Neharpar (Greater Faridabad farmhouses) for rustic outdoor shoots or convention halls near Surajkund.
Common Sequence: A typical Faridabad wedding might start with an evening baraat arriving in decorated SUVs or luxury cars (South-Delhi style, sometimes with an escort band blaring Punjabi tunes), leading to pheras under a mandap in a garden or community hall. You’ll see families shifting from rituals to celebration: energetic Punjabi bhangra numbers after mandap vows; kids picking up gulaal from the haldi plate and smearing each other (we photograph those mischievous moments instantly). A late-night DJ dance-off or open terrace party often follows. Many couples weave in NRI or fusion touches – perhaps a cappuccino coffee break during pauses, or a Western first dance after the pheras.
Atmosphere & Venues: In Ashoka Enclave or Sector 21, families often meet at venues like Mahindra’s The Grand Ambience, where weddings feel both grand and familiar at the same time. In Surajkund Tourist Resort, venues like the Rajhans Convention Centre literally sit “in the lap of Mother Nature”—expect a big pillarless hall with natural green vistas (great for evening family photos by the lake). Lawn venues on Mathura Road like The Grand Aurra have sweeping driveways and fountains. The Grand Aurra, for instance, is “stunning” with a lakeside view, glass courtyard, pool lawns, and large banquet halls—ideal for grand-scale shots at dusk when the fountain is lit. Intimate haldis might happen on quiet lawns in Neharpar (Jeevan Nagar) or Surajkund farmhouses—at Amora Luxury Farms (Neharpar), we once photographed a 200-guest Punjabi sangeet under fairy lights on.
Across the city, venues mix tradition with modernity. Faridabad’s new banquet farms (like Milan Resort in Sikri) boast expansive lawns for 1000+ guests, where we’ve used long walkways and palatial entrances for bride-groom portraits at sunset. Others, like Amora Farms, cater to mid-sized weddings (up to ~500 guests) with bungalow-style rooms, which are perfect for capturing pre-ceremony nerves or late-night laughs backstage. In every place, crew and relatives bustle—we quietly position ourselves for key moments: an uncle’s affectionate slap on the groom’s back, someone slipping haldi on a giggling cousin, and grandma’s blessings with tears.
Each top venue has its own photo-friendly spots and challenges:
The Grand Ambience, Badkhal Village, Faridabad—A large farmhouse/banquet hall that can accommodate up to 3000 guests. It has a large lawn and grand marble lobby. We love shooting here in the golden hour in the garden (the long lawns give a grand cinematic feel). Often, portraits are taken on the grand marble staircase or in the ballroom with the wide arched windows for soft side lighting. But watch out for its bright LED ceiling lights on stage—they throw deep shadows on the crowd. The best time for a quiet couple shot is right after the ceremony, when everyone’s still gathered for blessings, so the lawn is empty and you’ve got that big archway as a backdrop.
Chiraj Resort (NH-2, Mathura Road)—A newer luxury farmhouse with “timeless classic” architecture (domes and columns) and a scenic poolside area. We usually photograph the baraat entry through its majestic main gate or along the long colonnaded drive. The poolside party area, with its reflecting water, gives dramatic evening portraits (especially when the sunset hits the pool water). Indoors, the grand hall is huge (3500 pax) but quite deep, so we place flashes carefully to avoid flat light. It has a lovely wooden stage backdrop—at night, the soft yellow floodlights along the stage’s edge can make skin tones look greenish, so we bring gels or warm LED panels. We’ve found that the best sunset portraits are by the pool fountain—the water feature and palm silhouettes look amazing in backlit glow.
Milan Resort (Sikri, Faridabad)—A sprawling farmhouse resort (formerly Milan Farms) for its huge lawns (up to 1500 guests) and blend of modern and traditional style. The open green fields are ideal for big group photos (we once lined up a 100-strong joint family there). Inside, the Amber Hall is elegant with crystal decor, but the stage lights give it a yellow hue—so in ceremonies, we switch to available window light or ambient uplighting. If guests arrive early, the stone pathway lined with planters or the white gazebo near the lawn are great spots for romantic portraits. The staff are generally helpful. One tip is to come early and shoot on the back lawn before guests arrive, as it gets busy by dinner. The venue has full power backup, so we never lost power during our shoot, which was a lifesaver on a hot evening.
Vardaan Luxury Banquets (Surajkund) – A grand indoor-outdoor venue with one vast hall plus a large lawn (capacity ~4000). Inside, there’s a high-ceilinged banquet hall which we use for large family portraits under crystal chandeliers. The hall’s entrance has a big faux-marble foyer and drive-through entry, great for capturing the baraat charging in – we love a shot of the groom lifting his turban in the horse carriage silhouette. There’s also a tall bell or crane (these are popular here) – the groom often takes a shot by pulling it. Outdoors, the lawn has a nice reflection pond and vintage street lamps, good for night-time couple portraits. The main stage has shifting RGB lights; at times we gently film in slow-motion to let the mood lights “wash” the scene rather than flash through them.
The Grand Aurra (Seekri, Ballabhgarh) – This lakeside wedding resort is “stunning” with multiple spaces. It has a glass-paneled courtyard and a huge Moonshine Pool Lawn. For wedding photos, the highlight is the lake: one golden-hour portrait spot is on the jetty with the water as a mirror. Inside, the glass courtyard bathes couples in daylight for crisp, airy portraits (we encourage walking shots here). The main ballroom’s entrance has grand wooden doors – a classic angle is the baraat rushing under the wooden archway. At night, the White Hall & Lawn area (named for its white décor) is framed by up-lighted columns; we often pose couples on those steps after the meal when lights are low. If the DJ throws a strobe party, we’ll move to the Grand Lawn to shoot silhouettes against the moonlight.
Amora Luxury Farms (Jeevan Nagar, Faridabad) – A fairly new boutique venue for up to 500 guests. It’s mostly outdoor, with an eco-chic vibe (lots of plants and fairylights). We often guide couples to the old banyan tree corner for quiet portraits—there's a lantern-lit swing we once used for a romantic couple's shot at dusk. The main open-air mandap area has live-site spotlights that can wash out bridal lehengas, so we usually shoot candid portraits on the lawn just after the mandap (the soft grass and foliage give a rich green background). Because it’s intimate, we can spend a bit more time with each family—we'll gently rearrange loose dupattas and close nervous mouths with jokes, never barking orders. Being new, it can get dim in one corner, so we carry portable LEDs—at one wedding the AC went out suddenly, and our battery-powered lights saved the day.
Lake View Huts and Resort (Surajkund) – A quiet resort known for lush lawns and small lakes (it “offers a peaceful abode for wedding celebrations”). This place is great for morning portraits: try the wooden jhulas (swings) near the lotus pond or the thatched huts under trees. We once did a bride portrait at sunrise by a lily-covered water tank—the mist and marigolds made it magical (but still real). Indoors, the banquet hall has tall pillars; we used them as frames for the couple during the pheras. Best time here: right before the main ceremony, so the hall’s stage lights are off and natural light floods in. After dinner, the breezy porches give a nice breeze for candid dance shots with family.
Convention Centre, Surajkund Tourist Resort (Rajhans Convention Centre) – This Govt-owned venue has a huge pillarless hall (6,160 sq.ft.) and is smack in nature’s lap. For photography, we like to use its landscaped entrance and the steps up to the hall. The big lobby (with patterned marble) is ideal for that classic joint-family pic “coming down the stairs” – we arrange everyone on the steps and catch the laughter. Inside, its smooth white walls bounce flash nicely for indoor portraits.
The Forever Resort (Greenfields Colony, Faridabad) – A 5-star hotel venue with palatial architecture. The sprawling fountain in front is 30 ft high and Euro-style columns flank the driveway, so the entry shot is often the couple driving in under that fountain. For couple portraits, we love the rooftop terrace and garden near the pool (the tropical palms and structured hedges look dreamy at sunset). Indoors, the bell-shaped chandelier in the Radiant Hall has a mirror below it – we once used it for a neat overhead ring shot. The bright stage lights inside can be harsh, so during pheras we usually shoot from the side to soften skin tones.
Punjabi/Sikh Weddings: There are lots of celebrations. You will listen to the thumping beats of dholkis, DJ Bhangra, and a procession that can come to you on a flashy bullet bike or fancy car. Our cameras caught the picture of a bridegroom who jumped out of a bullet right into the stage due to traffic jams along the way. The decorations are usually of the red-gold color scheme. Elders gently tap the back of the bridegroom when performing milni rituals. The arrival of a baraat will always remain a spectacular moment, with the grooms riding horses with Khalra swords or their cars accompanied by some musical artists. The cousins dance in competition. And our cameras always catch. The only thing we shoot now is bhangra, bhangra, bhangra. Round the clock and through the day and night.
Hindu Weddings: Often a blend of North Indian traditions. There’s the emotional (kanyadaan) with the bride given away in tears, color-splashed mehndi nights (we’ve had girls sneak gulal packets for fun photos), and pheras under a floral mandap. Key are the bright sindoor and mangalsutra moments—we quietly record the groom tying the knot (thali) and look for that ring-lit close-up. And cousins forever tease each other with leftover sindoor. So look for red-streaked cheeks and laughter. We love incense-like smoke during rituals. It gives a warm haze to shots of the ritual fire in candlelight (pheras).
South Indian Weddings: There are fewer here, but when they happen (e.g., Telugu/Brahmin families in Faridabad or Delhi), we cherish the difference. We might see a gentle veena or flute playing during the “thali”-tying moment. The bride often wears a silk pavadai or saree (white with gold borders), and mehendi (henna) designs are subtle. We’ve captured a South-Indian-style bride tying her hair with jasmine flowers against a temple backdrop once—the morning light caught just the moment her mother placed the final flower. You’ll often see South Indian sweets (payasam) and a vegetarian spread; sometimes a mix of Tamil Nadu prasadam and Punjabi sabzi! We speak a few Tamil terms from weddings (just to soothe nerves: “chillana mare!").
NRI/Intercultural Weddings: These weddings fuse local and Western elements. Many NRI couples bring their international flair – we’ve shot couple portraits in Lodhi Gardens and Old Fort as part of their Delhi celebrations. One NRI bride had a sunrise mandap shoot at Old Fort (pictured golden ruins) – we set up lights at 5 AM to catch that soft fog. The reception might have a Western first-dance or cake cutting with garlands swapped right after. We blend film styles accordingly: for example, we captured a first-look in a mustard field in Punjab style, then seamlessly switched to a waltz under fairy lights. Often the schedule is tight (relatives arriving from abroad), so we’re ready to adapt – a late-night flight delay once meant we filmed the baraat entry and wedding rituals in one continuous evening edit.
We’re not just technicians; we’re your calm friends with cameras. Couples appreciate that our team never bosses family members around – if Auntie gets distracted, we crack a joke or gently gather everyone again for a photo. We often hear “you made us feel so comfortable.” For example, when an uncle first tried to lift his grandson playfully and nearly slipped, I caught that moment of laughter safely (we always keep an eye on safety, too!). We answer every WhatsApp and call quickly (even at 2 AM if the planner is panicking). People notice our editing style is warm and real – we never overdo filters. A bride once said she loved that her mehndi photo looked exactly like she remembered that evening (skin tones true, haldi yellow soft, not washed out).
Should we book you for the whole day or just the ceremony/a few hours?
It depends on your events! Full-day coverage (pre-bride prep through reception) is usually worth it. Delhi NCR weddings have so many moments—you don’t want to miss a baraat dance-off or family puja. Ek tarah se poora din book karo; we get ready-room jitters and late-night laughs. But if you really only need 4–5 hours (say, just the ceremony and a few portraits), we can do that too—just let us know and we’ll craft a half-day plan.
The venue doesn’t allow external lighting. How will you handle night events?
No external lights allowed? We come prepared with on-camera and discreet LED panels. Venue-ac lighting and our flashes are usually enough. We also suggest times: for example, a night wedding (like 8–10 pm baraat) means we’ll raise ISO and use high-power flashes or continuous LEDs positioned off-camera in corners. We communicate with in-house lighting to sync colors. In a truly dark hall, we rely on the existing decorative lights (often warm fairy lights at Punjabi weddings or stage lights at receptions) and our cameras’ low-light performance—we've captured star-speckled roof dances before. Plus, we have backup lights in case a stage light fails (which happened once at Chiraj: lights blinked, and our small softbox kept the portrait rolling!).
When will we see our photos/film after the wedding?
We know you’re excited! Typically, we deliver a gallery of photos within 2–3 weeks, and a wedding highlight film in 8–10 weeks (it takes time to craft it like a movie). First, you’ll get a “sneak peek” teaser (maybe 10–15 shots) in a few days via WhatsApp—something to enjoy right away. Then the full gallery (200–500 images for a full day, more if we shoot multi-days). We upload them on our private online gallery (you’ll get a link), where you can download your favorites. For the film, if you want extra fast, sometimes we rush a mini-montage first and finalize details later.
How many photos can we expect, and how are they delivered? For a full-day wedding, expect between 500 and 800 photos from two photographers (how busy your schedule is will determine the actual number). We pick out the best 25-30% of frames and send you all of them via a secure online gallery (no USB drives unless you want). You can download high-res copies from there. If you buy a 5-hour package, expect to get about 150-300 images. We tag them with events like haldi, function, reception, etc. for easy search.
We have a huge joint family (20+ cousins). How will you get everyone into shots?
We even joke around with family members here! For giant groups, we handle everything step by step. We first group siblings with their kids, then bring in the next set of relatives until everyone is called in. During one wedding, an entire Jat family of 50 squeezed onto a staircase for a send-off shot—we had them stand across two levels of stairs just to fit everyone naturally into the frame. For weddings at open lawn venues, we use wide-angle lenses (without making faces look distorted) and even climb onto chairs or stage backdrops when needed. We give clear, friendly directions like, “Everyone look here; come a little closer together; big smile!” If someone feels shy, we simply let them stay comfortable and capture their candid smile instead. No group is too big—we've photographed 100+ family members together by arranging everyone naturally, almost like building a family tree through pictures.
How long are your highlight films usually? Full ceremony footage too?
Our highlight films typically run 5–8 minutes—just like a wedding trailer. We condense the day’s best moments into a story (with music you pick), so it feels like the movie of your day. We definitely capture the full ceremony, though. If you want the complete ritual video, we can certainly provide that as a longer “cinematic ceremony edit" or raw ceremony clips on the drive (this is an add-on, usually).
We would like to hear your story and plans! So, if you are planning for a big Punjabi bash or a small Hindu ceremony around Faridabad, let’s talk on WhatsApp. Just send us a message with your date, venue ideas or any fun wedding vision and we usually get back to you within minutes. No pressure, we just really want to hear your dreams (and nerves) and see what we can do to make every smile and dance move last forever on camera. Let’s do this and speak soon!
