Golden Hour in the Morning: Morning ceremonies are super popular – the soft light in the morning offers lovely warm tones. In fact, Haldi is often held early, Wikipedia notes it “is usually done in morning but sometimes late afternoon or evening” . Our cameras make sure to capture the fresh light your celebration gets with a morning Haldi. If it is summer, early morning also bypasses the intense midday sun and heat, keeping guests comfortable (and colors bright).
Outdoor Open Shade (Best): If you can do an outdoor Haldi in open shade (under a tent or tree, for example) that’s best. Rich saturated colors are created by the combination of shade and golden morning sun with no hard shadows. If your venue has a nice lawn or garden, we’ll scout out the best spots for light placement for the event.

Rainy Day Contingency: Monsoon season (July-Sept) can be wet, but Haldi is about fun, so umbrellas are part of the story!
