Noida Sector 96 and its surroundings brim with modern venues and traditional Indian wedding energy. As an experienced local wedding photographer, I know how a Sector 96 wedding feels: the spring-in-your-step baraat, the vibrant haldi party under the afternoon sun, the evening sangeet dance floors alight with family laughter. At Upasna Studio Photography, we don’t just take pictures; we quietly step into those moments. We believe weddings are not merely rituals, but “about emotions, love, and timeless memories”. That means the real smiles, the tender glances, the burst of color when aunties throw flower petals – we capture those as they happen. Whether your wedding is a grand Punjabi celebration at the Unitech Golf Club (Sector 96’s signature banquet) or a more intimate engagement in a leafy Sector 93A lawn, my goal is to make you feel instantly at ease, like I’m a friend with a camera.
We offer a full suite of services so you get the complete experience, not just one-off shots:
In every service, the focus is on the experience you get. You won’t see menu-like lists of “we shoot A, B, C,” instead we talk about how you’ll feel: relaxed, cherished, and free to enjoy your day, while we turn those moments into art.
Our packages are transparent and flexible. To give you an idea (all prices in INR):
Each package lists included hours, team size, and deliverables. For example, a Premium tier might say “10 hours, 2 photographers, highlight video, 200 photo album prints, 50 edited photos on USB.” Every client also gets a custom quote: you can add extra hours, or drop things like videography if you only need photography. We’re happy to tailor – just mention if you need special requests (like multiple wedding days, or destination travel). In all quotes, we clearly outline what’s included, so there are no hidden surprises.
*Note: Actual prices vary by season and exact requirements. Contact us for an accurate quote. Custom packages are available for any budget or wedding style.
Weddings around Noida Sector 96 mix modern flair with North Indian festivity. Here’s what we’ve observed from many ceremonies we’ve shot:
In short, weddings here are festive yet contemporary, with many couples wanting a story-like coverage. We blend with the crowd (so no rigid formality) and highlight the unique local flair.
On the wedding day, here’s roughly what to expect from us behind the scenes – we share this so you feel confident in choosing us:
Morning Preparation: We typically start at the bride’s or groom’s home (or hotel) when makeup begins. We keep quiet until we sense a beautiful moment – maybe the bride looks at herself in the mirror for the first time today, or parents help her into her dupatta. We often show you a few snaps on the camera to build excitement. Couples often smile seeing how good they look already!
Coordinating Group Shots: Once ceremonies start, we may need key family portraits. We’ve found the best strategy is a quick break after, say, the pheras, to gather everyone on stage. Because we’re familiar with local family structures, we can organize uncles on one side, aunts on another, and kids in front, in less than five minutes. We keep it light – cracking jokes if needed – so it doesn’t feel like a forced photo op.
Candid Ceremony Coverage: During rituals (like pheras, kanyadaan, or ring exchange), we keep multiple cameras rolling, capturing different angles. We use silent shutter and a long lens so you don’t even hear us – your ceremony feels intimate. At this stage, we’re focused and respectful, ensuring we get all the key moments (like the bride’s smile towards her groom or tears of joy on a brother’s face).
Helping with Poses: After formalities, at some point we’ll pull you aside for couple portraits. We aim for these to be fun, not stiff. Often we say things like, “Try walking toward me and talking about how excited you are,” and click away. Or we might simply ask you to hold hands and face each other; sometimes that’s enough to evoke a natural laugh. We rarely dictate rigid poses. By now you’re usually relaxed (the adrenaline is down), so images will look easy and genuine.
Adaptability: A big wedding can be unpredictable. For example, one Sector 96 bride’s baraat was hugely delayed due to a car breakdown. We used that extra hour to grab candid shots of the groom’s family sharing snacks and the decorated car waiting in the driveway – turning a hiccup into storytelling gold. Whenever something doesn’t go “as planned,” we improvise and photograph the unplanned beauty.
Embracing the Chaos: Weddings in our part of Delhi NCR can get loud and lively. If kids start chasing each other in the background of a shot, we’ll capture that too (it adds charm). If the DJ’s bass is shaking the stage, we might record a slow-mo of the couple’s first dance to give that energy a cinematic feel. We become part of the background machinery: calmer members of the family might even ask us for advice (“Should I stand here or there?”), and we’re always ready with pointers while focusing on our main job.
By the end of the day, we’ll have thousands of moments captured: the big ones and the tiny ones you didn’t even notice. You can trust that your wedding won’t feel intrusive or staged – just beautifully documented.
In the Noida/Greater Noida area around Sector 96, several venues stand out. We have shot at many and know each one’s unique photography potential. Here’s a quick overview of a few, to give you confidence that no matter where you choose, we know the best angles:
Unitech Golf & Country Club (Sector 96): This is a sprawling lawn and banquet complex right off the expressway. It can host up to ~900 guests. For photos, its big advantage is open space: the golf lawn under wide skies makes for grand group photos. In the late afternoon, the sun behind the club’s white pavilion creates a soft backlight for beautiful couple portraits. There’s a charming older banyan tree on the lawn’s edge often used for romantic shots. One challenge: midday light is harsh, so we usually reserve shade spots (like under the trees or in front of the facade) until evening. The club hall itself is regal, so we do a classic entry shot on the grand staircase.
Radisson Blu MBD Hotel (Sector 18, Noida): A popular hotel with multiple ballrooms. The broad driveway and glass facade make an elegant bridal entry background (camera looking up at the departing bride). Indoors, the ballroom has high ceilings and crystal chandeliers – gorgeous for capturing the bride’s gown trailing behind or a wide shot of the couple on stage. Often the stage lights are a cool-toned purple; we balance that with a warm flash for your faces, giving a glowy portrait feel. The rooftop bar (if booked) is a nighttime hotspot – silhouettes of the city skyline with sparklers or fireworks in the distance. We recommend a dusk photoshoot on the terrace if time allows.
Sparrow Lounge @ E-Square Mall (Sector 93A): A chic lounge on the third floor of the mall, used for modern receptions. The vibe here is nightclub-esque – dim LED lighting, urban decor. It’s perfect for an intimate sangeet or cocktail hour. We get creative with colorful gels on our own lights to match the decor. Even though it’s indoor, the ceiling mirrors and mood lighting mean we can shoot creative reflections. The entryway (glass doors overlooking the city lights) is a trendy spot for a couple photo in evening wear.
Sports and Cultural Club (Sector 15A): This local community club has both indoor halls and a lawn (capacity ~500). It’s beloved by Noida families for weddings. The lawn is modest but shaded by old trees; it’s great for a midday haldi if it’s in the sunny courtyard. We often start in the indoor halls: the bride’s dance performance (remember, it’s a wedding club) and crowd interactions happen here. The garden outside provides an informal portrait spot – one bride I shot sat under a mango tree during lunch, and we captured a serene moment of her adjusting her lehenga’s border with soft daylight on her face.
J S Garden (Sector 132): An upscale lawn and banquet complex along the newly developed Sector 132. It has pergolas draped in fairy lights and a small fountain pond. For couples, one of my favorite shots is on the little footbridge over the pond at dusk – the couple’s reflection in the water and twinkling lights above make it cinematic. The large open lawn also works well for group shots with mountains in the distant background on clear days. Indoors, the wood-accented halls have warm lighting; we often use that as a backdrop for father-daughter or mother-son dances, giving a golden glow feel.
Kantam Farmhouse (Sector 135): A cluster of rustic farmhouses on a farmland property. It has a weathered brick wall and an old well – great for capturing a heritage vibe (like a retro pre-wedding shot). The vast plain around it makes sunset shoots dramatic (in one shoot a horse was arranged as a surprise – see above image – symbolizing tradition meeting adventure). However, the sun sets behind the buildings here, so we plan our golden-hour couple shoot a bit earlier. The farmhouse interiors (whitewashed walls, wooden beams) are great for simple couple portraits that highlight your outfits.
Vanraj Farm House (near Sector 150): A popular boutique venue close to the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway. It has a modern facade and a manicured garden with a lotus pond. For photography, the key spot is the lotus pond at sunset: the bride standing by the water with the sky’s reflection, often with floating lanterns or floral petals on the water. Indoors, the banquet hall has an LED-lit ceiling which we can sync with soft flash for a dreamlike ceiling effect in reception shots. Also, since it’s often booked for day weddings, it offers lots of natural light through big windows.
Each venue has its quirks (like stage angles or lighting colors), but because we’ve shot at so many, we already know where to stand and how to make it work. We also continually scout local spots: for instance, Noida’s sectors have lakes and parks – if your family home is in Sector 96, we know some nearby quiet canalside or green belts for an early-morning portrait session. This local knowledge means your photos will look both beautiful and authentic to Noida.
Q: How much should I budget for a high-end wedding photographer near Sector 96?
A: Many luxury photographers in Noida start around ₹50K–₹70K per day for just photography (basic coverage). Upasna’s premium packages (with videos and multiple photographers) start at about ₹80K–₹1.2L per day. It’s good to think of it this way: top photographers often charge 15–20% of the total wedding budget. If you’re planning a big, multi-day Punjabi wedding, consider that the photography will be a keepsake for decades. We offer custom quotes, but expect luxury coverage (2 shooters + a film) to be in that range.
Q: Can you shoot a Punjabi wedding or a Sikh Anand Karaj too?
A: Absolutely. We’ve covered dozens of Punjabi weddings in Noida. We know how to capture the high-energy dance at sangeet, the colors of the chunni (haldi cloth), and the emotional looks during pheras. For a Sikh wedding at a Gurudwara, we capture the entire Anand Karaj ceremony with sensitivity – e.g. focusing on the pheras around the Guru Granth Sahib and the hymns. We also film the last round with good audio of the kirtan. No matter the community (Hindu, Sikh, Christian, South Indian), we adapt our style. We’ve even shot multi-cultural weddings, so feel free to ask if you have multiple functions of different traditions.
Q: Do you travel to surrounding sectors and venues?
A: Yes! We’re based in East Delhi but serve all of Noida/Greater Noida/NCR. In fact, Nimantrans notes “Sector 93A & 104” and others as very popular areas for weddings. We frequently shoot in Sector 93A (E-Square Mall, Horizon Plaza, etc.), Sector 132 (own modern lawns), Sector 150/151 (new expressway resorts), and even in Delhi neighborhoods. If you have a unique location in mind (like your ancestral home, a temple, or a farm outside Noida), just let us know. We’ll check travel logistics (sometimes a small travel fee applies if it’s very far).
Q: How do you handle group photos and big families efficiently?
A: We come prepared. Usually, one of our team members carries a “family shot list” form where you can tick off which family combos you need (e.g. Bride + groom + bride’s parents, bride + groom + both sets of parents, all siblings, etc.). We try to take these during a break in the ceremonies (often after the pheras or during a buffet). We gather the people quickly by gently organizing them in place – for example, standing relatives behind, kids at front – and we fire off 3–4 clicks quickly. Our mantra is be fast but polite. We won’t keep your grandparents standing outside for long. If younger family members start roaming, we keep shooting (some of the best shots are impromptu like little cousins chasing balloons around the shot).
Q: How soon can we expect our photos and videos?
A: We know the wedding excitement doesn’t wait! Typically: you’ll get a preview album of 5–10 photos within 48 hours of your wedding (so you can share something on social media). The full photo gallery (hundreds of edited images) comes in about 2–3 weeks. The highlight wedding video (2–5 minutes with music) usually is ready in 3–4 weeks, and the full ceremony video might come around 6–8 weeks. We can deliver faster (rush delivery) if you need it urgently. We’ll give you a timeline upfront so you know what to expect.
Q: Do we need to do a pre-wedding shoot? Is it worth it?
A: It’s totally your call. A pre-wedding shoot is a great way to get comfortable with the camera before your big day, and to create some fun memories. We’ve done shoots around Noida (like Sector 18 park, the Grand Aquarium mall, local temples, etc.). Many couples use those photos for their wedding invites or decor. Plus, during that shoot we learn what poses you like and how you two interact, so on the wedding day it feels even more natural. If you enjoy photography, it’s a fun experience to do once. If you’re busy, it’s not mandatory – plenty of our couples skip it. But many say afterward it was well worth it for the memories and the practice!
Q: When is the best time of day for portraits at a Noida wedding?
A: Generally, late afternoon (around an hour before sunset) is ideal – the light is soft and golden (“golden hour”) and flattering on photos. For example, at Sector 96 lawns, golden hour silhouettes or a warm glow by the tall grass can be magical. However, if your timeline doesn’t allow that (say you have another function right after the wedding), early morning (just after sunrise) is also lovely, especially in parks or near water. The tricky times are midday (when light is harsh) and very late evening (when it’s dark); if needed, we bring flash and LED lights to compensate. We’ll coordinate with your planner on timing so we optimize light – for example, slipping out for 10 minutes right after ceremony if we see the sun is in a good spot.
Q: How many photographers and videographers do you send?
A: It depends on the package and scale of the wedding. For a large Punjabi wedding, we recommend at least 2 photographers and 2 videographers (so we can cover both sides of the bride/groom separately, plus different ceremony angles). Our Premium and Luxury packages include multiple shooters by default. For smaller weddings, one shooter and one videographer might suffice. We’ll advise based on your wedding size – rest assured, we’ll always have enough people so we don’t miss any crucial moment (like one angle of the pheras while another covers the guest reactions).
Q: Do you help with any outfit or styling advice?
A: We’re not stylists, but we can give friendly tips based on experience. For example, if doing a pre-wedding shoot or portraits in harsh sunlight, lighter and cooler colors photograph well (turquoises, pastels); they reflect light and keep you from overheating. Avoid very small or busy patterns – they can moiré on camera. For indoor shoots, jewel tones and richer colors pop under artificial lights. We also sometimes suggest simple changes (tuck the groom’s shawl to avoid wrinkles, or pin the bride’s dupatta so it flows). But mostly, we let you wear what feels right. The best photos are when you feel your best.
Q: What if our wedding gets postponed or dates change?
A: We understand life happens. If you need to reschedule, we generally accommodate it (within reason, based on our availability). We just need as much notice as possible, ideally before final payment. We’ll roll over your booking to the new date with updated timings. If it’s a significantly bigger wedding (needing more coverage) or we have rate changes, we might adjust the quote. But we do our best to be flexible – your peace of mind is important.
Q: Will there be any extra charges (like travel or overtime)?
A: We’re transparent about costs. If the venue is beyond Noida (like a hill station or another city), we discuss travel expenses upfront – typically we charge actual travel costs (fuel, tolls) and, for a far location, possibly accommodation. Within Delhi NCR, we usually include travel in our package (we do this all the time). Overtime: if your events run longer than agreed hours, the extra hour is billed (we let you know on the day so no surprise). Otherwise, the quoted price includes all standard coverage, equipment, and editing. No hidden fees!
Q: Indoor vs outdoor lighting – any special preparation needed?
A: Outdoor (day): great natural light but can be too bright midday. In strong sun we look for shade or diffuse with a reflector. We often plan couple shoots when light is most flattering (morning/evening). Outdoor (night): we bring a portable LED light or flash, so we can do creative off-camera flash portraits (e.g. against a lit-up venue sign or illuminated fountain). Indoor: hall lights tend to be yellowish or colored. We have high-end cameras with high ISO, and we also use soft flash for key moments (like the first dance). For example, for an evening reception at a Chandigarh-style ballroom, we might bounce a flash off the ceiling to light the dance floor naturally. You don’t need to do anything – we arrive prepared with gear for both settings.
Q: Do you allow shots of certain things, like alcohol or kids playing?
A: We respect every family’s preferences. If you let us know of any do-not-photograph requests (some families might not want certain moments), we absolutely comply. As for alcohol, that’s usually part of modern weddings – we might capture toasts or celebratory drinks, but never in a way that embarrasses anyone. With kids, we love their spontaneity – a flower girl giggling or a ring bearer dozing off can be charming. Unless you ask us not to, we’ll include the fun real moments – they often make great highlights of the day.
Your wedding is unique – and your photography should be, too. I would love to learn about your plans and vision. Send me a WhatsApp message or email anytime (I check them frequently) to discuss your wedding date, venue, or any questions. There’s no pressure: even if you’re just starting to explore, I’m happy to chat and share ideas.
