Wedding Photography

We are the covert photographers who pretend to be camera-wielding wedding coordinators. In order to ensure adequate lighting in mandap corners at Manav Rachna or Cluster Apra, we arrive before sunrise. In order to capture the midnight chaos at Sector 18 venues or far-flung beachside locations, we always have a few extra speedlights on hand. We manage memory cards in the crowded bridal chambers and change batteries three times a day, always on the lookout for that happy or sad moment. We turn up our ISO settings to match the DJ's bright headlamp as the mother-in-laws start dancing at midnight. Our photography team manages logistics in addition to the images. Auntie wanted to cut cake right away or teach the kids to "just jump slowly," so we heard from thirty family members in a minute.

Films for Weddings

On your special day, our wedding films resemble documentaries. We record not just the events but also the moments in between, such as your friends laughing about how they ruined their plates by eating nachos before Bharaat or your wedding planner secretly changing your bride's heel. We use lapel microphones to record vows and blessings, so you can laugh at jokes that were too private to be recorded elsewhere or hear the precise quaver in your priest's voice. On significant moments (like the first kiss and the smashing of the cake), we follow the main shooter, but occasionally we take a break to capture shots from different perspectives and settings. If a horse and carriage baraat occurs, we will undoubtedly record it from both above and below (drone permitting). Overall, our video might end up blending 5-second clips of guests dancing to a phone vibration with high-quality 4K footage of the last dance. Here, there are no forced voiceovers!

Bridal Portraits

We get to enjoy you alone before the chaos starts with bridal portraits. We search the location (or the bridal suite) for the softest light, which could be a late-afternoon glow on a balcony at Golden Moments or a north-facing window in your Vasundhara apartment. While many brides use this time to unwind and enjoy a cup of coffee, we are there with our cameras, chatting like friends, taking those last peaceful breaths before bidaai.

Destination Weddings

We treat celebrations that take place outside of Ghaziabad, like in Goa, Udaipur, or even Jim Corbett, as adventures. We get there early for a reconnaissance, which could involve mapping sundown angles on a beach or timing how morning light strikes the stairwell where your vows will take place in a far-off city. We also know the local photography regulations (drones, cultural customs, and permission protocols) and prepare equipment for travel, such as extra battery packs, rain covers, or winter coats for our cameras. Our staff will blend in seamlessly with your planner, but you'll still experience the Upasna Studio Photography warmth—quietly setting up strobes when the light is low or gently reminding you to stay hydrated when it's hot. We frequently blend your story into every new location while filming off-camera at the local attractions (recall that colonial hallway shot at that Goa heritage hotel).

Different Wedding Cultures We Cover

Punjabi Weddings

These begin with a loud barat and never end by one in the morning. Families are vibrant in phulkari and pink turbans, and everyone is rushing to enter the more opulent hall in Sec or Indirapuram. The energy is contagious. Vasundhara, 9. We record every bhangra spin a rooftop can see, and sangeets (typically at Punjabi-style lawns or farmhouses) transform the parking lot into a dance floor. We mimic their rhythm by shooting girls smearing peeli haldi, tracking the dhol rebeat at the baraat, and then getting low for those happy hora circles. We know exactly where the buffet tables line up (at Orchid Farms or Golden Moments, usually an aisle over) because Punjabis love to eat, and we frequently take on the role of part-time master of ceremonies to gather the family for important photo ops.

Hindu Weddings

Hindu rituals are intricate and vibrant, akin to solving a Rubik's Cube on a moving train. The pace of a Brahmin wedding in Shakti Khand and a Baniya wedding in Kaushambi will differ significantly. However, there are colorful attire and holy times (the panchang slots) everywhere. The real drama takes place beneath the mandap at dusk, after mehndi in the afternoon and morning haldi (usually at home or on the banquet lawn). We are aware that the priest's chants indicate which shot to seize, such as the one in which the mother ties the sindoor prior to the Ganga Aarti. A vidai (farewell) in the fading light, following pheras and saptapadi, is always poignant; we are typically at the gates of Golden Moments or Orchid Farms, prepared with a lens. Here, guests erupted in applause or tears, and we let the music steal the show.

South Indian Weddings

Typically, they are much more on time. Ceremonies begin in the morning and end in the afternoon in Indirapuram or close to ITL Public School. The men are dressed in immaculate white veshtis, while the bride is dressed in a silk pattu saree and a red garland. As photographers, we practically meditate on timing ourselves because every ritual follows an eight-step schedule. There is a lot of poojas and thamboolam in the rituals, and the light is bright. Although there is less family energy here, the colors—mango yellow and kumkum red—stand out beautifully. The calming flow is the main thing that people might miss; once Jeelakarra Bellam is prepared, we know that Chaamaram will follow. Brides rarely deviate from the plan and complete the first transfer of thalambralu (rice balls) in a matter of minutes. Even so, we manage to catch them, such as the subtle smile she gives following saat pheras or the uncles' lighthearted banter during Kanni Kannu, which might not occur if things were hurried.

Christian Weddings

Church ceremonies in the morning are traditional, usually held at St. Mary's or Emmanuel Church in Indirapuram. In the bitterly cold North Indian winter air, you'll find tuxedos and pastel dresses, and the officiant's vows are typically in English. We take extra care when filming those picturesque moments because the sun shines through stained glass, so we place meter spots on the couple's backs. Compared to a Punjabi reception, this one is usually held in the afternoon or early evening. Children run around with confetti, people embrace, and memories are shared. A cake is typically cut, and occasionally a bouquet is thrown under fairy lights. We notice things like toddlers picking up petals, parents swaying during a first dance, and those subtle "we just made a promise" looks. We mimic the solemnity and fun of these weddings by combining lively cut-ins (such as catching the bunch when it's thrown) with stately posed shots.

NRI Weddings

When families from Singapore, Canada, or the UK make reservations with us, they bring both a global perspective and a desire for genuineness. A friend begins dance training in a parking lot, or an uncle emails his hand-embroidered shawl design at the last minute. The main flow may be taught (DJ arrives at 6pm, life-size props, choreographed entry), but something always goes wrong. We frequently take framed screenshots of loved ones watching live during Zoom calls, which is another reason we adore them. We adjust to the tastes of people around the world; for example, they might prefer a highlight film that lasts less than five minutes or more candids during cocktail hour. Emotion, however, is a constant: fathers may slip a dollar into the bride's blouse, and NRI brides frequently cry when they witness their families leaving. We preserve those moments in silence. They rely on us to capture a little bit of India in pictures, and we do this by fusing the two cultures in each shot.

Our couples come from all over: the colonial bungalows of Chander Nagar, the new Indirapuram; Siddharth Vihar apartments like Apex The Kremline; the emerging colonies of Rajendra Nagar, or the upscale complexes of Ramprastha Greens and Shakti Khand. We've handled picnics at Ansal Plaza and weddings at Wave City on the Ghaziabad–Noida border. We also casually discuss local traffic, such as the nightly jam at the Kaushambi crossing, since it's part of our everyday lives.

We are aware of the quiet backroad leading to Sector 15's Green Aura and the quickest route to Hotel Mukut Regency (Vaishali Metro Station). We're more than just vendors; we're a part of the community that works out wedding details in Gupta Market or runs into each other at City Park Mall, so we'll blend in perfectly with your local vibe. We will smile if you mention Ahinsa Khand 2 or Kaushambi under a starry sky. 

What We Notice That Others Miss

Real weddings take place in the quiet nooks. We're the ones making jokes and holding the groom's turban steady so the photographer can get that one ideal handhold when his heart is racing. We gently reroute Auntie Rani away so mom and grandma can take the picture when she asks, "Yeh duppatta theek hai?" for the third time while sweeping through the portrait line at Vintage Banquet. We use our eyes in addition to raising our cameras. We record the cousins practicing Bhangra by the catering tables, the grandmother looking up from her seat, and the younger sister hovering behind the bride.

Here, schedules will always slip, but we're prepared. Instead of folding up and waiting if the ceremony is running late, we begin filming in the hallway, capturing little moments like the groom's boutonnière falling off in real time or the jaimala being off to the side while the sisters catch up. We moved to indoor candids near the refreshment counter when the chilly December fog threatened to stop the baraat at Orchid Farms. We would locate a lit-up chandelier corner or go outside onto the balcony for a brief silhouette shot against Sector 14's lights if the sky changed from tangerine to dark by the time Varma (Sindoor) was due.

We are frequently asked how we deal with chatty uncles or sobbing children. The answer is straightforward: we embrace or diffuse them. A tearful father wiping his son's sehra gets a private moment in focus, while a boisterous relative at the altar is included in the wide shot. We even discreetly replenish the punch bowl when no one is looking, and we assist in herding the family for group photos (speaking their language if necessary). Above all, we avoid getting in your way because we want you to always feel like you're the only person in the picture, with us pulling the strings in the background.

Venue Experiences

• Hollywood Dreams (Vaishali): Located next to the Metro station, Hollywood Dreams consists of three banquet halls. We frequently bracket shots to deal with flares because the King Hall has a built-in stage and enormous chandeliers that splash light across its marble floor. The foyer is constantly bustling with up to 1500 people dispersed throughout the halls; we set up our equipment behind crowds and occasionally take over a balcony corner for sunset portraits. We like to take first-look photos of the groom emerging from the lounge on the grand staircase near the Queen Hall entrance. Additionally, we can take serene early-morning bride portraits in peaceful hallways before the celebration begins because they have six guest rooms on the premises.

• Rosellia Banquets & Suites (Vasundhara, Sec. 11): With room for 350 guests, Rosellia's King Hall is a true "huge area." Light is dramatic but sometimes harsh due to the long red carpet stage and high ceilings; we pull shots from behind columns or diffuse flashes against the elaborate walls. Just off the stage is a back balcony that's ideal for private bride-and-groom pictures during golden hour. We know the quietest stairwell (downstairs by the valet) for one-on-one portraits because we've done a lot of weddings here. We have a window-lit suite for bridal makeup shots while everyone else is on the dance floor thanks to the venue's nine on-site rooms. Recalling little details, such as the location of the ice maker or the door leading to the service driveway, enables us to fit in and be prepared for any situation.

• Orchid Farms (Indirapuram, close to CISF Camp Road): Located just off the Vasundhara–Indirapuram highway, Orchid Farms is a combination of an indoor hall and an open lawn. Our favorite spot for haldi ceremonies at sunrise is the long green carpet lawn, which reflects gentle morning light for a cozy glow. To one side is an outdoor pergola stage, where we frequently photograph bridesmen dancing in the morning light. Sunset photos of couples by the central lawn hedge are lovely because the orchids in the garden absorb the last of the light in the evening. We adjust by using the high-speed air conditioning in the indoor hall if the baraat arrives late, which is typical given the traffic in Indirapuram. Group photos taken there appear crisp even with tinted glass. A word of caution: we occasionally apply a PolarPro to our lens to get rid of highway dust.

• Golden Moments (Vasundhara, Sector 16A): This "Luxury Banquet & Party Lawn" in Vasundhara features an open lawn and a magnificent ballroom. Eight crystal chandeliers inside create rainbow flares on the glossy floor, which we can either lean into for moody portraits or desaturate in camera. The lawn offers a broad view of the sunset sky, and in order to avoid being overexposed by the floodlights, we usually schedule portraits there shortly after the DJ stand closes (around 7 p.m.). A small terrace with a view of the lawn is located next to the kitchen wings; it's a serene area that's ideal for taking close-ups of rings or scrolls. We now know that baraats entering from Sector 16A's main gate should aim for precisely 6:30 because the entrance ramp becomes overcrowded once peak traffic arrives.

• Vintage Banquet (Vasundhara, CP 5, Sector 9): With a maximum seating capacity of about 400, Vintage Banquet is a cozier, smaller hall complex that fills up fast. We actually look for the foyer mirrors to bounce off cool fill for evening portraits because the lighting is warm yellow. If you start by noon, the second-floor bridal room's window light from the northeast is ideal for pre-ceremony portraits. When multiple weddings are taking place, a narrow side staircase is frequently utilized for quick family portraits; occasionally, we enter by shooting through open doors before cropping. The outdoor space is merely a parking lot with string lights at night; we entice couples to go outside for a few flash nighttime photos. We learned how to compress groups without losing faces by using short zooms and the large columns because we shot when the hall was 90% full.

• Vasundhara Farm The Party Lawn (Vasundhara): Constructed like a small compound, this 10-acre villa has ten bedrooms. Both a large outdoor lawn by a pool and an indoor party hall are available. We schedule the sunset photos by the pool because the water's reflection gives them more depth. The bride frequently performs her first dance beneath the palm trees when we string LED lights around the pool area for dancing at night. For more subdued couple photos, a little gazebo at one end is ideal (even if it means avoiding the caretaker who believes we're ready to serve guests!). When the sun is too strong, we capture candid moments in the hall, which is usually used indoors for cocktail hour or overflow food. It has large columns and good uplight. Note: Since their DJ charges an additional Rs. 10,000, more weddings are moving the music outside, which means later baraats may occasionally begin closer to 8 p.m. Make lighting arrangements appropriately.

• The White Rose Hotel & Banquets (Vasundhara, Sector 18) has two banquet halls, each with about 200 seats. While the staff completes the setup in Hall 1, we frequently place the bride in the hotel lobby, which has good north light through glass panels. The halls themselves have cream walls and wooden parquet floors. Because they require a lot of warm flash at night, we use tiny LEDs from ceiling corners to create an ambient glow behind couples. The quiet hallway of rooms upstairs is ideal for first-look or window-lit gown photos. We caught a cute candid of a child napping in a lounge chair next to the buffet at one of our weddings while he was holding the groom's champagne flute. A small service stairwell near the loading dock in the back is a surprisingly pleasant location for groom portraits with a view of the city.

• Elara Banquets (Vasundhara, Sector 4A, close to Amity School): Even on weekdays, this medium-sized venue is packed with three halls, the largest of which has 250 seats. Elara has a village hall vibe and is entirely vegetarian (no non-vegetarian kitchen), so caterers wear dhotis and aprons all day. Every picture frequently features blues and purples due to the pink LED strips running along the roof of the stage area (we either match those or go back to natural skin tones). A rooftop deck with a view of the Delhi skyline is located next to Banquet 1, making it an excellent location for cityscape couple portraits after dusk. We advise dropping guests off at the Amity tower and walking a minute to the hall for large weddings because we are aware that Elara's parking lot, which has 70 spots, fills up quickly. We occasionally shoot the baraat inside during Ghaziabad's intense midday heat, and the entire area is air-conditioned.

• Mannat Grand (Vasundhara, Sector 5): Two indoor halls with luxurious interiors and high ceilings (Hall 1 can accommodate up to 400 people, while Hall 2 can accommodate 150). Due to its location in a busy area on Shaheed Captain Manoj Pandey Marg, the wedding motorcade frequently has to wait on the main road. We prefer to get the bride on the grand staircase off Hall 1 as soon as she enters because it is spacious and features marble balustrades that catch the sunset. We frequently take pictures of the cocktail and entry on one level and move up for vows because of Mannat Grand's expansive attached stage area. We've located a peaceful rooftop garden (unofficial, used for business gatherings) where we take post-ceremony family pictures away from the mayhem on the dance floor.

• Green Aura (Numberdar Palace, Vasundhara): A separate dining hall and an outdoor stage and lawn arrangement. Here, almost all weddings have at least an outdoor evening reception. We keep an eye on the wind, which can be strong on the lawns and carry heavy sehra. We occasionally fly a drone to get a top shot of the entire crowd by the stage because Green Aura is known to permit drones (no drones except with special permission) (with prior check for number of stairs). We frequently gather the family by the buffet counters at dusk and use the glowing wall as a backlight for portraits because the hall has large glass windows. A little secret: Country Inn, a chain restaurant, is located next to the venue. We occasionally use an outdoor table to cool our equipment in the afternoon shade or to take early morning khichdi-sipping shots.

What is the price of your services? A: We customize every package to fit the size of the wedding. Families in Vasundhara, for instance, frequently budget for full-day coverage starting at one lakh (all-inclusive). Hours and team size are key factors. The best method is to give us a general idea of your priorities or what you have in mind, and we will provide you with a personalized quote. We can modify days, hours, or album options to accommodate both smaller and larger budgets.

How long will it take us to receive our pictures and videos? A: After the wedding, we typically deliver teasers (a few key photos) within a week, and the entire photography gallery in roughly 2–3 weeks (sometimes sooner if we're extremely quick). Our goal is to have a complete highlight reel and a brief teaser for wedding films in eight to ten weeks. Depending on the season's workload, it may vary, but please notify us in advance if you require anything by a particular date.

Do you have photo albums? A: We do provide luxury albums, but it's not a given. One can be added later or included in a package. Your best photos are included in our handcrafted (leather, linen, etc.) albums.We can assist you in selecting which pictures would look best on a big page. We provide the remaining images digitally (through an online gallery), or you can choose to purchase prints.

Is it possible for you to travel to our destination wedding? A: Definitely. We adore destination weddings! We arrange our travel in advance; typically, we pay a small travel fee or per diem to cover both local transportation and our plane or train. For a travel buffer, we also factor in an additional day or two if necessary. Like any locals, we will explore the venue (or city sights) once we get there. We've shot in Goa, Jaipur, and Nepal; each time, we adjust to the paperwork and style of the place. 

What is the number of photographers and videographers that we receive? A wedding is usually covered by two photographers (plus an assistant or two carrying gear) and one or two videographers. We can scale up for larger or longer events. Two shooters are crucial, in our opinion: one concentrates on the bride's side and ceremonies, while the other focuses on the groom and family or occasions like the reception. In this manner, various perspectives are recorded and nothing is overlooked. Sometimes a single photographer is sufficient for small civil weddings, and we inform you of this.

What does the wedding movie contain? A: In addition to a brief 30-second teaser for social media, we provide a cinematic highlight film, typically lasting five to ten minutes. Vows, greetings, music, small tales, laughter, speeches, and perhaps even a song or toast are all captured. You can ask for longer or uncut footage, and we can incorporate those as well (in an extended cut). We edit with a sense of the occasion, which can be poetic or exuberant, but it's never corny.

What time should we reserve you? A: Our couples frequently make reservations six to twelve months in advance, particularly during the busiest time of year (winter). However, if the date is available, we also accept reservations as late as four to eight weeks in advance. The most important piece of advice is to message us as soon as possible if you already know the date and location of your wedding. We record your date as "tentative" in a straightforward WhatsApp journal. A brief form and an initial deposit are all that are needed to make a reservation, after which the date is locked.

Is it possible for us to talk or meet prior to the wedding? A: Of course! We enjoy having in-person meetings or video conferences to discuss your preferences. If you live nearby, we can have a cordial meeting at a café in Vasundhara or Indirapuram. These are typically used to create a rough photo timeline, such as "we'll start here, do that, then that." You'll already recognize us as real people rather than just a random vendor, which helps you unwind.

How are we going to pay? A: Depending on the size of the package, we require a 25–30% deposit at the time of booking; the remaining amount must be paid by the wedding date or shortly thereafter. We don't charge extra for bank transfers, PayTM, PhonePe, or UPI. In the contract, we also specify terms for refunds in the event of cancellation or rescheduling. (Thankfully, that is uncommon here; most families make a special effort to entrust us with these memories.)

How do you handle group shots and big families? A: To plan who goes where, we send out reminders well in advance and frequently print a small chart or use a WhatsApp group. One of us serves as a "shot caller" on the wedding day; we assemble small groups in two to three minutes, shoot them, and then move on. We do keep things light because nobody enjoys having to wait for ten minutes at a time, and we know when someone needs a break or is missing. When taking large extended family portraits (such as those at the buffet or courtyard), we attempt to use a long lens from a distance and allow the group to organically form while still pushing people into the frame.e buffet or courtyard), we try to step back with a long lens and let the group form naturally, while still nudging folks into the frame.
