Also, you can look for few awesome spots to click pictures later and also plan and visualize about what is going to happen and where.
3. CAPTURE THE UNEXPECTED
You must roam about everywhere with your camera. Indulge in light conversations with the relatives and guests and while they are having fun chit chat, you can capture the natural moment of the great time that everyone is having. Try to capture the ambiance and feel of the people around.
4. KNOW YOUR EQUIPMENT
As a photographer, you must know your equipment well. If you are there to capture only the candid pictures then keep your camera settings ( like ISO, aperture, shutter speed, white balance, etc) ready in advance. If you have to capture the posed shots and candid shots both yourself, then it is preferable that you use different camera for both the purpose and keep both of them handy and set in advance. Fiddling with the settings at the last moment can end up in losing an important candid shot.
5. USE PRIME & ZOOM & ULTRA WIDE ANGLE LENS
Not everyone is comfortable around a camera. No matter how calm they try to be, there is always a bit of tension that is seen in the body language. It is thus advisable that you use Zoom lens such as NIKON OR CANON 70-200mm F/2.8 or Prime Lens such as NIKON OR CANON 85mm F/1.8 or F/1.4, NIKON OR CANON 50mm F/1.4 ; both of them are very popular currently. 6. AVOID ON-CAMERA FLASH
There is no bigger disaster than when a beautiful shot is ruined by the flashlight. Also the flash makes the people around conscious. You must click in a way that people around don’t even notice. Raise your ISO and widen the aperture in low light conditions. For Just-in-case moments, it is better to use off-camera flash.
7. SHOOT BURST
This is a trick you can use when a ceremony or ritual is in action. At times like these it is difficult to capture a perfect candid shot. It may also happen that while you click one shot, you may miss the other one. It is best to go for burst shot. When you click a lot of multiple snaps, you will be amazed when you find few clicks as nice shaadi moments.
8. INTERACTING PEOPLE
Gone are the days when people preferred posed shots of them. This is the era of live candid photos. People want shots which capture them in action, doing mischief, being playful and mingling with each other. To capture such moments keep your ears open for the tittle-tattle around or best is to follow the laughter to capture the people having the best time together.
